The following descriptions are for the auto generation of wind load per LRFD-7 with 2015 interims.

The wind loads acting on the structure, for AASHTO LRFD, changes with the structural height, and exposure condition (bridge location). Substructure calculates the wind velocity first, using LRFD Eq. 3.8.1.1-1as follows:

For loads generated for wind at 0 degree angle, the user can include the load effect due to Art. 3.8.2. This is similar to the load generation for LFD wind load generation according to Art. 3.15.3. Please read the description at the end of the Wind Load on Structure (LFD) section in the user manual.
